Padar Island, Komodo National Park
Padar Island is located in West Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. It is one of the largest islands in Komodo National Park with no population. The Komodo Dragons are also not found on the island, they are extinct.
Located between Komodo and Rinca Island, Padar offers spectacular views with great island formations. Getting to Padar Island
Padar Island is a 3-hour boat tour from Labuan Bajo. The boat tour from Labuan Bajo will offer a visit to some destinations in Komodo National Park which includes Padar. You may prefer to join a day tour or overnight tour package.
Some of the boat trips from Labuan Bajo or from Lombok and Bali are common overnight here. And then they continue the next morning after sunrise, to explore the other islands.
The recommended way to visit the island is to get on a boat tour from Labuan Bajo. This is much more convenient, you can go on a day tour with a speedboat or use a Phinsi boat. The liveaboard will be the best choice if you want to enjoy sunset and sunrise, or overnight on the island.
Best Time to Visit
Padar Island is one of the best destinations to visit among the group of islands in Komodo. The stunning landscape with the beautiful island formation is the thing that attracts travelers. The island is busy throughout the day and some of the Komodo boat boats are overnight on this island.
The best time to visit this island is between April and September throughout the year. During these years, Indonesia has had a dry season. You can also visit the island from November to the end of December. The island is not so busy during this time.

- Time on the island has been divided into 3 parts: 05.30 to 07.30 am, 08.00 to 10.00 am, and 15.00 to 18.00.

There are no found restaurants or accommodations on the island. However, the boat tour accommodates all the meals and rooms on your Komodo boat tour. Some Warung is probably found on Komodo island, the nearest island to Padar.
Most restaurants and accommodations are in Labuan Bajo. There you can find a variety of accommodations, from homestays to star hotels. Some accommodations and restaurants are also found on Le Pirate island near Labuan Bajo.
For those who don't want to stay in Labuan Bajo, you can get directly to the boat tour once you arrive in Labuan Bajo. This will save more on your budget than if you stay in Labuan Bajo. It is the recommended way to do your Komodo tour.
