Bena Traditional Village, Ngada Regency
Bena Traditional Village is a megalithic village in Ngada Regency, Bajawa. It is located about 19km in South Bajawa. Following history, the village which is located at the foot of the mountain is typical of old worshipers. They believe that mountains are the place of worship and they believe that God is there. And they believe that God from the mountain will come to protect them.
At the moment, there are 40 traditional houses. And there is one main gate on the Northside of the village. In the middle of the village, there are two small buildings which are called Bhaga and Ngadhu. Bhaga is a small uninhabited building while Ngadhu is a single-masted building with palm fiber. The pole function is to hang the sacrificial animals during the traditional ceremonies. This village is one of the main tourist destinations in Ngada or Central Flores. The village is welcome to Domestic and International travelers.
